Collision In Smiths, Two Transported To KEMH

A road traffic collision occurred in the North Shore Road and Jennings Road area of Smiths this morning [Jan 21] with two people transported to KEMH with “possible leg and head injuries.”

A BFRS spokesperson said, “At 6:40am on the morning of January 21, 2021, Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service received a report of a road traffic collision at North Shore Road and Jennings Road Smiths.

“At 6:42am, BFRS responded with one appliance from the Hamilton Fire Station and an ambulance from the Clearwater Station with a total of 6 firefighters.

“On arrival, fire crews saw two cycles which looked to be in a head-on collision. Upon evaluation of the incident, fire crews found two male patients with possible leg and head injuries.

“After surveying the scene, the officer in-charge determined that an ambulance from KEMH was required to respond to the incident to assist. Both patients were transported to KEMH.

“The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Bermuda Police Service.”
