House Passes The Education Amendment Act
The House of Assembly passed the Education Amendment Act 2021, which seeks “introduce the concept of signature learning programmes into senior school education.”
This weekend the Minister of Education Diallo Rabain tweeted, “The HOA passed the Education Amendment Act 2021 paving the way for the phasing out of Middle Schools and the creation of Signature Schools. Education Reform is coming to Bermuda!”
The Minister had previously said, “The Education Amendment Act 2021 is the “first legislative step in delivering the Government’s commitment to phase out middle schools, introduce signature schools and move from a 3-tier to a 2-tier public education system.”
