Brian Lonergan, Chief Commercial Officer, said, “We are excited to announce the launch of One SmartHome, to help protect the things that matter most and streamline control of connected devices.

“Customers will now have peace of mind knowing they can watch their kids come home safely from school, and remotely lock their doors or turn off their air conditioning units in case they forget.”

“Customers can also choose between self-monitoring or professional monitoring, where a certified Alarm.com security professional will notify you and alert Bermuda emergency services as required.”

Frank Amaral, Chief Executive Officer, said, “The launch of One SmartHome is part of our commitment to continue to provide Bermuda with leading and innovative technology. Our goal with this new product launch was to provide the solution to our customers without the large upfront equipment and installation fees usually associated with Security and Automation products.

“Customers can also benefit from potential savings on home insurance as well as cost savings on their electricity bills by controlling and automating air conditioning units, lights and small appliances.”

The spokesperson said, “The product is also available to small businesses, allowing operators to keep an eye on their business 24/7, automate energy use, and gain insight into their operations by allowing them to identify peak periods of traffic, or receive alerts if their business wasn’t opened or closed on time.

RA (Regulatory Authorituy) is asleep at the wheel again!

An entity with a monopoly license, which allow them to support a significant capital advantage, it allowed to compete unrestricted in other markets (security services).

I have an idea, let’s just give any entity that desire a wholesale telecommunication license.

Perhaps we can get better service!

    RA you’re fired!

Exactly what I thought as soon as I saw this promotion. One Communications needs to leave something for the smaller businesses.
