Cervino Continues Competing In Italian Nationals
15-year-old Matteo Cervino continued competing in the O’pen Skiff Under 17 class in the second of a series of Italian Nationals.
A spokesperson said, “In the second of a series of Italian Nationals for the Open Skiff class, with the backdrop of beautiful Lake Garda, 15 year old Matteo Cervino [11238] competed this weekend against 46 sailing companions in the U17 category.
“The sailors had three “perfect condition” days of racing at Arco and after day 1 of racing, Cervino was in 8th place and on that day achieved two 6th positions and an 8th position. After day 2 he slid into 12th position and rounded up the regatta on day 3 with a final 15th place position.
“Cervino heads for the Open Skiff World Championships, which are being held in Calasetta, Sant’Antioco Island, in Sardinia, in early July.”
