The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the Stokes Point Road and Mullet Bay Road to Echo Lane junction in St. George’s trench work remains ongoing and will continue to require a one-lane closure.
All residents will continue to be granted access to Stokes Point Road whilst the paving works has switched over to Mullet Bay Road. This should assist in expediting the completion of Mullet Bay Road to meet our CupMatch Holiday weekend deadline. Once Mullet Bay paving has been completed, the paving works on Stokes Point Road will be finalized.
The lane closure will continue through to Saturday July 24th, 2021. Working hours will be from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, weekly from Monday through Saturday.
Motorists are asked to use caution when passing the open trench to keep themselves and construction workers safe.
Traffic controls will be under the direction of D&J Construction Co. Ltd. representatives and will be managed through traffic control signs & signals.
The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

Extension Continuing Through Monday, October 31st, 2021
The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that Harrington Sound Road trench work is to continue extending beyond Paynter’s Road to the BELCO substation in Hamilton Parish. The main trench work is nearing its end and will continue to require a one-lane closure along Wilkinson Avenue & Harrington Sound Road. Once trench work to the substation is completed, BELCO will then go back to Wilkinson Avenue and Harrington Sound Road to open the pull hole areas every 800 feet and pull their cables through.
This lane closure will continue through to Sunday October 31st, 2021. Working hours will be from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, weekly Monday through Sunday.
Motorists are asked to avoid this lane closure section on Harrington Sound Road and to use alternative routes via North Shore Road for the duration of this trench work.
Traffic controls will be under the direction of BELCO representatives and will be managed through traffic control signals and directional signs during rush hours.
Motorists are advised to drive cautiously past these wide construction areas and avoid speeding to protect themselves & construction workers on site.
The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
