45 Years Ago Today: Royal Visit Remembered
45 years ago — on July 3rd, 1976 — the Queen visited Bermuda, marking her third visit to the island.
Government House posted the photo below online, saying, “On 3 July 1976, Her Majesty The Queen visited Bermuda accompanied by the Late Duke of Edinburgh.
“This trip was the third visit to Bermuda by Her Majesty The Queen and the Late Duke of Edinburgh whom previously visited in 1953, 1975 and would later return in 1994 and 2009.”
