Congratulations Extended To New St Lucia PM
Following their general election, Bermuda’s Acting Premier Walter Roban has extended congratulations to the new Prime Minister of St Lucia, Philip J. Pierre.
A Government spokesperson said, “Following the General Election in St Lucia on Monday, 26 July, the main opposition party, the St Lucia Labour Party [SLP], claimed victory.
“Acting Premier, the Hon Walter Roban JP, MP has extended congratulations to the new Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre, who will form the next Government of Saint Lucia.
Minister Roban said, “On behalf of the Government and people of Bermuda, I extend heartfelt congratulations on your victory. Your victory conveys the trust that St Lucians have for a stronger future.
“Please accept our very best wishes as you and your colleagues work to implement your election manifesto priorities to improve healthcare, education to provide opportunities for your young people.”
