Hopkins Competes In Volta A Portugal Race
Kaden Hopkins and his Essax teammates competed in the Volta a Portugal do Futuro [Return to Portugal of the Future] Cycle Race.
The Volta a Portugal do Futuro was held in 5 stages, with Hopkins finishing 61st overall.
Hopkins clocked an overall time of 12 hours, 35 minutes, and 9 seconds. Hopkins finished 52 minutes and 34 seconds behind the overall winner André Domingues who had an overall time of 11 hours 42 minutes and 35 seconds.
Hopkins Essax teammate Romaric Forques finished 2nd overall clocking 11 hours 42 minutes and 54 seconds.
Hopkins said, “It was a full gas week out in Portugal, despite some misfortune on the first stage, I’m proud to have been a part of this group of guys who went out there every day and gave everything we had.”
