Golf: Stroke Play Championships Gets Underway
The 1st round of the Bermuda Stroke Play Championships took place at the Port Royal Golf Course today [July 2].
A spokesperson said, “Conditions proved to be challenging for the 1st Round of the Bermuda Stroke Play Championships at Port Royal Golf Course today, but despite the conditions Scott Barnett managed to shoot an even par round of 71 to take a one stroke lead over Damian Palanyandi.
“While Arthur Jones also managed an even par round to take the lead in the Senior Men’s Division and a 5-shot lead over Ian Page. In the Ladies Championship Division, Tracy Nash and Kim Botelho both had a good rounds and are currently joint first with Katrin Burnie 5 shots behind.
