Nia Christopher Scores Twice In Towson Win
Nia Christopher scored twice for the Towson University women’s soccer team, marking her 8th and 9th goals of the season, with the Bermudian footballer currently the leading scorer in the CAA, which consists of a number of U.S East Coast Universities.
The school’s match report said, “The Towson University women’s soccer team earned its highest single-game goal total of the year in a 6-0 shutout victory at Delaware State to close out non-conference play.
“Towson [5-2-2] scored three goals in each half en route to the win over Delaware State [0-7]. This is Towson’s best offensive performance since defeating Howard 8-0 on Sept. 17, 2006.
“Nia Christopher earned her second multi-goal game of the season, netting two in the 11th and 58th minutes off eight total shots.
“Nia Christopher now has nine goals on the season, leading the Colonial Athletic Association [CAA].”
