MarketPlace ‘Committed’ To Foster More Locals

October 7, 2021

Follows after screenshots of a job advert on an overseas website, which you can read here, were circulated online with some concerns raised, MarketPlace said that they “are committed to grow and foster more locals for leadership positions.”

A spokesperson said, “This was a clerical error, the local advert should have been three years. We adjusted the years of experience requirement from five to three after receiving zero local applicants. We work incredibly hard to recruit locally as we are 100% Bermudian-owned but at times there is no local interest.

“We are committed to grow and foster more locals for leadership positions which lead the recent launch of our leadership and development programme, Pathways to Leadership, which formalises our procedures to identify future leaders and ensures that they receive adequate training and experience.

“Through our leadership and development programme, available to current Bermudian or spouses of Bermudian associates only, we already have four successful applicants with placement and five awaiting placement.”
