Whereas the Minister of Youth, Culture and Sport considers that Ben Smith of Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5[5] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than 20 persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5[5] of those Regulations to Ben Smith of 7 Beaming Hill, Southampton SN02, permitting a gathering of 75 persons to assemble for the purposes of Sharks Sprint Meet 2021 on 23 October 2021 at 7am to 12pm, at BASA Pool, Saltus Grammar School Field, Hamilton HM11, subject to all public health laws and regulations in place at the time of your event, the standard large group conditions below:

Standard Large Group Conditions:

The number of attendees at any event cannot exceed 50% of the normal capacity at any indoor or outdoor setting. ‘Attendees’ include hosts, organizers, staff, volunteers, players, coaches, officials, spectators and vendors.

The use of SafeKey is required for all attendees at any gathering above the permitted number of persons. Attendees’ SafeKeys must be checked against a valid ID with name and date of birth, and be verified on https://verify.gov.bm/ prior to entry, per guidance at https://www.gov.bm/safekey.

Masks must be worn indoors and outdoors by staff and patrons if 6 foot distancing cannot be maintained, unless eating or drinking, or with members of one household or during physical exertion, per Public Health Guidelines at: www.gov.bm/mask-guidance

For BELCO Trench Work

Tuesday, October 19th, 2021 Through Sunday, December 31st, 2021

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring public that BELCO’s trench work will be crossing over to the west of Burnt House Hill & Middle Road junction and continue west towards Camp Hill. These works will require a one lane closure only.

This lane closure will take place from Tuesday October 19th, 2021 through Sunday December 31st, 2021. Working hours will be from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm daily.

Traffic controls will be under direction of Intelligent Trenching representatives and will be managed through traffic control signals & signage.

The motoring public traveling west is advised to seek alternative routes via Khyber Pass to South Road to avoid this trench work sections. The motoring public traveling east is advised to seek alternative routes via Camp Hill to South Road to avoid this trench work section. Various detour routes signage will be placed.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

Whereas the Minister of Youth, Culture and Sport considers that Edmond Johnson is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5[5] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than 20 persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5[5] of those Regulations to Edmond Johnson of 14 Hidden Lane, Pembroke, HM06, permitting a gathering of 135 persons to assemble for the purposes of Funeral Service- Bulla Allen on 16 October 2021 at 10am to 4pm, at Victor Scott Field, 4 Glebe Road, Pembroke HM15, subject to the standard large group conditions below:

Standard Large Group Conditions:

The number of attendees at any event cannot exceed 50% of the normal capacity at any indoor or outdoor setting. ‘Attendees’ include hosts, organizers, staff, volunteers, players, coaches, officials, spectators and vendors.

The use of SafeKey is required for all attendees at any gathering above the permitted number of persons. Attendees’ SafeKeys must be checked against a valid ID with name and date of birth, and be verified on https://verify.gov.bm/ prior to entry, per guidance at https://www.gov.bm/safekey.
