BNA Youth & Senior Leagues Results
For the first time in 2022, the Bermuda Netball Association was able to host league matches at the Bernards Park. Despite showers eliminating some play, matches in four Divisions were played.
Under 11 Division
Rangers 15 Phoenix Sparks 2
The Rangers made a welcome return to action picking up a 15 – 2 win over the Phoenix Sparks. The Rangers were led to victory by MVP Eleanor Kurualeba who scored 11 goals, with E’Rynn Paynter adding 4 goals, while Leigha Ferguson scored twice for the Phoenix Sparks, with Samara Johnstone- Deshield named the MVP.
Storm 24 NVCC Lady Rams 2
The Storm defeated the North Village Lady Rams in the other match in the Division. Mayah Williams- Johnston scored 12 goals to lead the Storm, with Journee Belboda adding 10 goals, and Diya Steede scored twice, the North Village Lady Rams got two goals from Dani Brown. The Storm MVP was T’jaia Butler, while Kenzie McCrary was named the North Village Lady Rams MVP.
Under 14 Division
Phoenix Embers 19 North Village Lady Rams Whites 1
Makaylie Smith scored 8 goals to lead the Phoenix Embers to a 19 – 1 win over the North Village Lady Rams Whites. Sydney Santos added 6 goals, and Hailey Trott added the other 5 goals, the North Village Lady Rams Whites got their single goal from Jazmyn Sutton, the Phoenix Embers MVP was Uni Simmons, while the North Village Lady Rams Whites was Zipporah Grant.
Under 17 Division
North Village Lady Rams 19 Phoenix Fire 16
The North Village Lady Rams would hang on to defeat the Phoenix Fire 19 – 16. Arianna Sabir would lead the North Village Lady Rams to victory with 14 goals, while J’zari Zuill-Dillas added 5 goals, while the Phoenix Fire got 13 goals from MVP K’xiyae Gibbons, with Makaylie Smith adding the other 3 goals, the North Village Lady Rams MVP was Sa’Mya Lightbourne.
Seniors Division
Storm 49 North Village Lady Rams 29
The Storm would claim a 49 – 29 win over the North Village Lady Rams. The Storm got 25 goals from MVP Nabiilah Nasir, Zakiyah Durham added 14 goals, and Amayah Burt scored 10 times, while the North Village Lady Rams got 14 goals from Darrika Simons, Kordyn Morris added 13 goals and, Zhanae Simmons scored twice, with Jada Richards named the MVP.
Phoenix Heat 70 Docksiders 5
The Phoenix Heat put on a shooting display defeating the Docksiders 70 – 5. Danielle Raynor would lead the way for the Phoenix Heat with 38 goals, Ebonie Cox would add 22 goals, and Karlandra Smith scored 10 times, the Docksiders got 4 goals from Alicia Churn, with Grace Broughton adding the other. Ayanna Wolfe was named the Phoenix Heat MVP, while the MVP for the Docksiders was Olivia Bogg.
