Results: Premier & First Division Football

Footballers in both the Premier Division and First Division were in action this weekend, with Hamilton Parish, Wolves, PHC Zebras, Robin Hood, and North Village Rams all earning wins, while two other matches ended in draws.

First Division

Paget Lions 0 Hamilton Parish 3

League leaders Hamilton Parish traveled to the Southampton Oval and came away with a 3 – 0 win over the Paget Lions.

John Hunt-Tucker gave Hamilton Parish the lead in the 6th minute, eleven minutes later Hunt-Tucker doubled the Hamilton Parish lead. It would take another seventy-two minutes before the third goal was scored as Jordan Outerbridge converted a penalty to help Hamilton Parish extend their lead at the top of the table to seven points.

Young Men Social Club 2 Vasco 2

At the Police Field, Young Men Social Club’s bid to close the gap on second place BAA took a blow when they drew 2 – 2 with Vasco.

Kyle Hamilton gave Vasco the lead in the 11th minute, but in the 27th minute, the score was level as Jomeko Mallory scored for Young Men Social Club. Two minutes later Vasco went back in front with Anthony Decosta finding the back of the net, with Vasco taking that lead to the break.

In the 66th minute Young Men Social Club would draw level for a second time, with a goal from Akim Johnston. Neither team was able to find a winner as they shared the points.

Ireland Rangers 0 Wolves 2

At Malabar, Wolves defeated Ireland Rangers 2 – 0. After a scoreless first half, Wolves took the lead in the 53rd minute when London Steede scored, Derrick Brangman would double the visitors lead in the 87th minute, as they took all three points.

Premier Division

PHC Zebras 12 Somerset Eagles 0

At the PHC Stadium, the PHC Zebras took the lead in the 16th minute when Antwan Russell found the back of the net. Russell, would double the PHC Zebras lead finding the net for the second time in the 30th minute. Enrique Russell then got in on the scoring act with a goal in the 35th minute, Marco Warren would then score in the 41sth minute to extend the PHC Zebras lead to 4 – 0, Enrique Russell scored yet again in the 43rd minute as they took a 5 – 0 to the break.

In the 50th minute, Tre Ming made it 6 – 0 to the PHC Zebras. Antwan Russell would complete his hat-trick with another goal in the 57th minute. Enrique Russell would add his second goal of the game in the 57th minute to make it 8 – 0, Ming made it 9 – 0 with his second goal of the game in the 64th minute, before Antwan Russell made it 10 – 0 in the 66th minute.

Darrin Usher got in on the act with a goal in the 71st minute, in the 78th minute Omair Tucker scored to make it 12 – 0.

Southampton Rangers 1 Robin Hood 2

After a scoreless first half at the Southampton Oval, the home team Southampton Rangers took the lead against Robin Hood.

Kieshon Wilson gave the Southampton Rangers the lead, but Robin Hood would get an equalizer when Tajai Goater found the back of the net, and then in stoppage time Robin Hood would get the winner with Chae Brangman converting from the penalty spot.

X-Road’s 0 North Village Rams 7

At the Garrison Field, the North Village Rams defeated X-Road’s 8 – 0.

The North Village Rams would get three goals from Rai Simons, two goals from Pierre Smith, and single strikes from Tahmi Williams, Demetri Daniels, and Kyler Knights.

Devonshire Cougars 0 St. George’s Colts 0

At the Devonshire Recreation Club, the Devonshire Cougars and the St. George’s Colts played to a scoreless draw.

Both teams came in the game looking to pick up valuable points, but a share of the spoils was what they got on the night.
