Athletes Compete, Minors Wins In Challenge

Four Bermuda track and field athletes competed in the Adidas Trojan Challenge in Mount Olive, North Carolina, with Dage Minors emerging victorious in the men’s 1500m and 5000m races.

Minors’ win in the men’s 1500m race saw him clock a time of 3:58.91, while his men’s 5000m victory came with a personal best time of 14:31.22.

Brijette Basden finished ninth in the women’s 100m preliminaries with a time of 12.86, before finishing 18th in the women’s 100m semifinal with a time of 13.88. Basden also competed in the women’s 200m, finishing 11th after clocking 27.35.

Robert Edwards clocked a time of 2:02.25 on his way to finishing ninth in the men’s 800m.

Ryan Outerbridge finished sixth in the men’s 800m with a time of 2:00.41; he also finished fourth in the men’s 1500m by clocking a time of 4:07.06.
