Results: Premier & First Division Football

Footballers in the Premier Division and First Division were in action this weekend, with Somerset Eagles, Somerset Trojans, PHC Zebras, Dandy Town Hornets, Hamilton Parish, and Young Men Social Club all earning wins.

Premier Division

Devonshire Colts 1 Somerset Eagles 2

At the Police Field, the Somerset Eagles defeated the Devonshire Colts 2 – 1.

After a scoreless first half, Shakir Smith gave the Somerset Eagles the lead in the 52nd minute, Hubert Butterfield doubled the Somerset Eagles lead in the 58th minute, the Devonshire Colts would pull a goal back in the 90th minute when Robert Urquhart scored, but time ran out on their chance of getting an equalizer.

North Village Rams 1 Somerset Trojans 2

The Somerset Trojans traveled to Bernard’s Park and came away with all three points in their 2 – 1 win over the North Village Rams.

Jahkari Furbert gave the Somerset Trojans the lead in the 30th minute, Nathan Rego doubled the visitor’s lead in the 36th minute.

In the 65th minute, Owen Botelho pulled a goal back for the North Village Rams, but they could not find the equalizer.

St. George’s Colts 0 PHC Zebras 3

At the Wellington Oval, the PHC Zebras defeated the St. George’s Colts 3 – 0.

Enrique Russell gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the 9th minute, they would hold that lead until the break.

Antwan Russell double the lead in the 48th minute, and then Marco Warren made it 3 – 0 to the PHC Zebras in the 51st minute as they closed the gap on the Dandy Town Hornets to two points with the league leaders playing later in the day.

Dandy Town Hornets 2 Robin Hood 1

The Dandy Town Hornets defeated Robin Hood 4 – 1 at the BAA Field.

Jomei Bean Lindo gave the Dandy Town Hornets the lead in the 5th minute, Cecoy Robinson doubled the lead in the 30th minute as they took that lead to the break.

Chae Brangman pulled a goal back for Robin Hood, scoring from a free kick in the 64th minute, but Robinson restored the Dandy Town Hornets two-goal lead with his second goal of the game in the 79th minute, and then Tomiko Goater would score the Dandy Town Hornets fourth goal in the 87th minute.

First Division

Hamilton Parish 4 St. David’s 1

Hamilton Parish was in full command of this game against St. David’s at the Wellington Oval in the first half they inched closer to claiming the First Division title with a 4 – 1 win.

Hamilton Parish was ahead 3 – 0 after 38 minutes, thanks to two goals from Macquille Walker and a single strike from Kneiko Richardson.

Jarye Bean made it 4 – 0 to Hamilton Parish when he scored in the 61st minute, but in the 67th minute, Diego McCallan pulled a goal back for St. David’s.

Young Men Social Club 2 Ireland Rangers 1

At the Police Field, Young Men Social Club defeated Ireland Rangers 2 – 1.

Nigel Williams scored the lone goal in the first half in the 36th minute as Young Men Social Club held the lead at the break.

Makai Young doubled the Young Men Social Club lead in the 89th minute, only for Jonathan Bean to pull a goal back in the 90th minute for Ireland Rangers, but they could not find the equalizer.
