Mixed Day For Phillips In J3 Delray Tournament
Daniel Phillips continued competing in the J3 Delray Beach International Tennis Federation Tournament at the Delray Swim and Tennis Club in Florida.
In his second round singles match, Phillips took on American Tommy Czaplinski. The pair battled in a three-setter; Phillips won the first set 6-3, before Czaplinski leveled the match at 1 – 1 by winning the second set 6-4. The third and final set saw Phillips lose 6-4, resulting in Czaplinski advancing.
In the doubles, the sixth seed Phillips and his American partner Ellas Shokry defeated Lucas DA Silva from Brazil and Diego de Romana from Peru in straight sets 6-2, 7-5.
