Four Athletes Compete In Championships
Bermuda track and field athletes Nathan Armstrong, Mikal Dill, Stephan Dill, and Ryan Outerbridge recently represented their universities at championships.
Nathan Armstrong
Nathan Armstrong helped his Rider University men’s track and field teammates finish in second place at the MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Michael P. Brady Track & Field Complex.
Kevin Heredia, Armstrong, Derian Stianche, and Gobi Thurairajah finished third in the men’s 4×800 relay with an IC4A time of 7:41.98.
Mikal Dill & Stephan Dill
Mikal Dill, Stephan Dill, and their Johnson C. Smith men’s track & field teammates finished second in the 2022 CIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Bowie State.
Mikal Dill finished 10th in the men’s long jump with a top leap of 6.08m, and also finished 5th in the men’s triple jump with a top leap of 12.96m.
Stephan Dill advanced to the men’s 100m final after clocking the fourth-fastest time of 11.07, and he clocked a time of 10.8 in the final to finish 4th.
Stephan Dill ran the second leg for the Johnson C Smith men’s 4x100m relay team that clocked a winning time of 41.72.
Ryan Outerbridge
Ryan Outerbridge and his Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field teammates competed at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, hosted by Stonehill, finishing fourth, out of 10 teams.
Outerbridge competed in the men’s 5000m finishing 12th crossing the line in a time of 15:30.14 and he ran the third leg for the Franklin Pierce University men’s 4x800m relay team that clocked a winning time of 7:42.61.
