The football match scheduled to take place in Bermuda on June 14th has been cancelled, as the Montserrat Football Association has withdrawn.

A BFA spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Football Association regrettably announces that it has received communication from Concacaf that the match scheduled for June 14 against Montserrat has been cancelled.”

The communication said, “The Montserrat Football Association has unfortunately decided to withdraw from the match #65 of the Concacaf Nations League Group Stage originally scheduled on Tuesday, June 14 in Bermuda. Consequently, and in accordance with the Competition Regulations, the Concacaf Disciplinary Committee will evaluate the situation and take the final decision of the outcome of the match and notify both Member Associations accordingly.”

The spokesperson said, “The BFA looks forward to receiving the adjudication from the Concacaf Disciplinary Committee where we await full disclosure of the circumstances that have led to the cancellation of the match. Bermuda fans who were eager to see the Gombey Warriors in action and purchased advance tickets will receive a full refund through PTIX.bm.

“The team is currently in the Dominican Republic preparing to face Montserrat in its third match and looking to produce a positive result. We encourage all of Bermuda to watch our team on Flow Sports or the Concacaf Youtube page on Saturday, June 11 when they will face Montserrat. The match starts at 8:30 p.m. Bermuda time.”
