Bba National Road Race Championship
Sunday, June 26th, 2022
The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the BBA National Road Race Championship will take place on Sunday, June 26th, 2022 between the hours of 7:30 am and 11:00 am the following roads may be closed to all vehicular traffic.
Cycle Race Route
Commencing on Cooper Island Road and travel in a northerly direction to the Southside Road roundabout and then travel in a northerly direction along Pepper Hall Road to the Tommy Fox Road, turn left and then head in westerly direction along Tommy Fox Road to the Southside Road and then travel in westerly direction to the roundabout at the Lower Gates Road, turn right and travel in northerly direction along Lower Gates Road to St David’s Road then turn left and then travel in westerly direction along St David’s Road to the Swing Bridge roundabout, then travel in westerly direct along Kindley Field Road to The Causeway roundabout, then travel in westerly direction along The Causeway to North Shore Road, then travel in westerly direction along North Shore Road to the Wilkinson Avenue roundabout and turn right and then travel in easterly direction along North Shore Road to The Causeway then travel in easterly direction to The Causeway roundabout and then travel in easterly direction along Kindley Field Road to the swing bridge roundabout then travel in easterly direction along St David Road to the junction at Pepper Hall Road and then turn right and travel in southerly direction along Pepper Hall Road to Southside roundabout then travel in southerly direction along Cooper Island Road to the road race finish line.
Traffic Control: The bicycle race will commence on Sunday, June 26th, 2022 at 7:30 am and is expected to be concluded by 11:00 am. All motorists are expected to use caution and avoid collusion with race participants. The race route will be under the direction of the Bermuda Police service and Race Officials. Motorists are asked to follow directions and instructions to assist with traffic control for this event.
Road Closures
Parking
There will be no road closures to traffic while this bicycle race takes place, motorists are asked to use caution. They must also allow cyclists to participate and give way when directed by Police and Race Officials.
There will be no parking restriction for this bicycle race but motorists are permitted to park in designated parking bays along any part of the race route. Additionally, motorists must not block the race route or impede the participants in the bicycle race.
In addition, the Bermuda Police Service are hereby authorized to “Close-Off” streets or portions of streets and authorize parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the BBA National Time Trial Championship Race will take place on Sunday, June 19th, 2022 between the hours of 7:30 am and 10:00 am the following roads may be closed to all vehicular traffic.
Cycle Race Route
Starting at Cooper’s Island Road then travel in a northerly direction to the Cooper Island Road Roundabout and then turn left onto Southside Road, travel in a westerly direction along Southside Road to the Westcott Road Roundabout, turn right and then travel in an easterly direction along Southside Road to Tommy Fox Road, travel in an easterly direction to the Pepper Hall Road, turn right and travel in a southerly direction to the Cooper Island Road Roundabout. Repeat this lap as necessary, then travel in a southerly direction along Cooper Island Road, ending on Cooper Island Road.

Road Closures

The Revel De Road Procession
Monday, June 20th, 2022
The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the Revel De Road Procession will take place on Monday, June 20th, 2022 and will require multiple road closures at the times listed below.
There will be four routes to this event that will require road closures. See list below for each route and times event will take place. Motorists are requested to avoid these routes during the times specified.
Route 1: Start time 5:00 am until 7:00 am
Commencing on Dutton Avenue, to Marsh Folly Road, St John Road and into the City of Hamilton; ending at Dutton Avenue.
Route 2: Start time 10:00 am until 1:30 pm
Commencing from Devonshire Recreational Club on Frog Lane, to Parson Road, progressing to and ending at Dutton Avenue.
Route 3: Start time 2:15 pm until 5:00 pm
Commencing on Dutton Avenue, processing to Marsh Folly Road, Black Watch Pass, North Shore Road and eastward to Barker’s Hill roundabout.
Route 4: Start time 5:00 pm until 8:15 pm
Commencing on Palmetto Road, processing to Marsh Folly Road, St. John Road into the City of Hamilton.
The procession route will end back at the Dutton Avenue.
Traffic Control: Residents in these areas are encouraged to follow instructions by the Bermuda Police Service, and Traffic Marshals on duty for this event. Residents will be provided access as necessary, and give participants passage to move along the road closure routes. Residents are asked to avoid driving along the parade route whilst participants are on route.
Parking: There will be no parking restrictions for this event. Motorists are permitted to park in designated parking bays along any part of the event. Additionally, motorists must not block the event routes or impede the participants.
In addition, the Bermuda Police Service; are hereby authorized to “Close-Off” streets or portions of streets and authorize parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.
