Erica Hawley Wins Bronze Medal In California

Erica Hawley achieved her first podium finish in the elite women’s Continental Cup yesterday.
The Bermudian placed third in the Americas Triathlon Cup Long Beach in California.
Hawley, who will represent Bermuda at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham later this month, finished in 1hr 26sec.
Gina Sereno, of the United States, claimed victory in 1:00:08, and Jimena De La Pena Schott, of Mexico, came second in 1:00:10.
“First elite Continental Cup podium today! Lots to be happy about. Two weeks until the big one,” Hawley wrote on her Instagram page.
