Arcadian Risk Capital Appoints Chen Foley
Arcadian Risk Capital has appointed Bermudian Chen Foley as Chief Claims Officer, noting that they “are delighted to welcome an individual of Chen’s calibre, with cross-functional expertise in claims management and provision of counsel.”
A spokesperson said, “Arcadian Risk Capital Ltd, a Bermuda-based Managing General Agent [MGA] and part of the ‘Class of 2020′, announced the appointment of Bermudian national Chen Foley as Chief Claims Officer, effective August 8th, 2022.
“In his role, Chen will be charged with managing all aspects of the Arcadian Group Claims function, ensuring consistent delivery of services in line with the Company’s strategic direction, and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
“A qualified lawyer, Chen was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 2001 and to the Bar of Bermuda in 2002. He is a high-performing and driven insurance professional with 20 years of related experience in the Bermuda and London insurance/reinsurance markets as a Claims Manager, Claims Adjuster and Coverage Counsel.
“He has hands-on experience providing counsel in relation to claims handling strategies, advising on, and representing markets in coverage disputes as well as defending insureds.
“Prior to joining Arcadian, Chen served Liberty Specialty Markets Agency Limited for more than six years, latterly as Head of Bermuda Claims and before that as Vice President Claims Manager and Coverage Counsel.”
