Results: 13 Bermudian Footballers Overseas

Teams that include Bermudian footballers Joshua Joseph, Asrael Basden, Jai Bean, Chaz Trott, Zemira Webb, Che-Chulae Dowling, Koa Goodchild, Keziah Martin, Mia Fishel, Willie Clemons, Reggie Lambe, Roger Lee, and Enrique Russell were recently in action.

Joshua Joseph

Joshua Joseph picked up his first NAC Award earning the Player of the Week.

Joseph contributed a goal in each of Thomas College’s three matches last week, helping them finish the week with a 1-0-2 record.

He played 74 minutes and scored the Thomas College only goal in a 1 – 1 tie against defending NAC champion SUNY Poly on Saturday, and followed up with Thomas’ game-tying second goal in a 2 – 2 tie against Cazenovia College on Sunday while playing 81 minutes.

Earlier in the week, he scored Thomas’ first goal in what ended as a 3 – 1 victory over non-conference foe New England College.

Asrael Basden

Asrael Basden scored four times to lead her Paul Quinn Women’s Soccer teammates to a 10 – 0 win over Texas College.

Basden had 7 shots, six of them on target finding the back of the net the four times, and she also recorded an assist.

Jai Bean

Jai Bean and his Duke University Men’s Soccer teammates, battled through 19 fouls, playing to a 1 – 1 draw against Yale. Felix Barajas scored his first goal of the season, and Duke finished the contest with eight shots on goal but were met by a strong defensive effort by Yale that limited Duke’s offense to just one goal.

Chaz Trott

Chaz Trott was not in the North Greenville University Men’s Soccer team as they went down 2 – 1 to Converse University.

Zemira Webb

Zemira Webb and her Southern University Women’s Soccer teammates gave up a goal in the seventh minute and could not find the back of the net against Grambling State University falling 1 – 0 inside A.W. Mumford Stadium/Pete Richardson Field.

Che-Chulae Dowling

Che-Chulae Dowling and her Jackson State University Women’s Soccer teammates defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff in its second conference matchup of the season.

Koa Goodchild

Koa Goodchild and her Howard University Women’s Soccer teammates erased a 3 – 0 deficit, thanks to three second half goals, to earn a draw at Elon.

Keziah Martin

Keziah Martin and his Kidderminister teammates drew 1 – 1 with Buxton Football Club in Vanarama National League North action.

Mia Fishel

Mia Fishel took her Mexican Women’s Premier Division Football League Leading Goalscoring total to 14 following Tigres Women’s 4 – 1 win over Toluca.

Down 1 – 0, Fishel brought Tigres level in the 40th minute when she headed in from a corner, she then gave Tigres the lead with what proved to be the winner four minutes later, Fishel brought the ball down on the edge of the box and struck a left footed shot that beat the goalkeeper.

Willie Clemons

Willie Clemons and his Braintree Town FC teammates edged St. Albions 1 – 0. After a scoreless first half, a great run by Clemons, was finished with a shot that the goalkeeper could only push into the path of Levi Amantchi who was on hand to tap in from 6 inches out.

Reggie Lambe

Reggie Lambe and his Stowmarket Town teammates drew 2 – 2 with East Thurrock United.

Down 1 – 0 on the stroke of half time Lambe equalized for Stowmarket Town.

Roger Lee

Roger Lee and his Barwell FC teammates picked up a 4 – 2 win over Royston Town in Southern League Central Premier Division action.

Enrique Russell

Enrique Russell was an unused substitute as his AFC Totton teammates made progress in the Isuzu FA Trophy at the Snows Stadium, overcoming last season’s Southern League Division 1 Central runners-up Berkhamsted who came close to taking the cup tie to penalties, despite ending the match with only nine men.
