Duffy Closes The Ranking Gap To 69 Points
The Maurice Lacroix World Triathlon Championship Rankings have been updated, and following Dame Flora Duffy’s win on Sunday at the World Triathlon Championship Series Bermuda, she has now closed the gap on Georgia Taylor-Brown from Great Britain to just 69 points.
Taylor-Brown and Duffy are expected to battle in the 2022 World Triathlon Championship Finals Abu Dhabi at the end of the month.
Taylor-Brown who did not compete in Bermuda is on top of the Women’s Elite list with 3,925 points from 4 events, while Dame F;ora Duffy has 3,856 points also competing in 4 events.
Taylor-Brown picked up wins in the World Triathlon Sprint & Relay Championships Montreal, the World Triathlon Championship Series Cagliari, and the World Triathlon Championship Series Yokohama.
Duffy claimed victories in the World Triathlon Championship Series Abu Dhabi, the World Triathlon Championship Series Hamburg, and the World Triathlon Championship Series Bermuda.
Beth Potter from Great Britain who finished 3rd in the World Triathlon Championship Series Bermuda is 3rd overall with 3,369 points.
