Netball: Lindo’s Tigers vs Phoenix Heat
The BNA’s first Senior League week day match of the season at the Bermuda College, where the Lindo’s Tigers took on reigning champions Phoenix Heat.
A spokesperson said, “This match brought everything a spectator could ask for with excitement from start to finish. Phoenix Heat received a boost with the likes of veteran goal attack Ebonie Cox back in their line up showing her worth with key passing assists and goal scorer.
“The first half of the game was evenly matched with Tigers leading the first quarter 12 to 11, while Phoenix outscored Tigers 12 to 10 taking them into the half leading by one with a score of 23 to 22.
“Unfortunately for Tigers their half time substitutions would not prove effective with Phoenix taking total control of the match outscoring them 20 to 10 in the third quarter. Going into the fourth and final quarter with a 9 goal advantage with a score of 43 to 32.
“Tiger would make further substitutions in a effort to try and get back into the match, despite a valiant effort, Phoenix would prove the stronger team and eventual winner ending the match 56 to 41.”
