Footballers in both the Premier Division and First Division were in action this weekend, with the North Village Rams, St. George’s Colts, Wolves, and St. David’s all earning wins.
Premier Division
North Village Rams 6 X-Road’s 1
League leaders North Village Rams defeated X-Road’s 6 – 1 at Bernard’s Park.
The North Village Rams got a hat-trick from Justin Bell,, while Nacori Smith, Pierre Smith, and Jaizel Smith DeShields all added a goal each, while Darron Simons scored the lone goal for X-Road’s.
St. George’s Colts 4 Dandy Town Hornets 0
At the Wellington Oval, the St. George’s Colts defeated the Dandy Town Hornets 4 – 0.
Jahron Dickinson gave the St. George’s Colts the lead with a shot from outside the box in the 29th minute, Kashe Hall doubled the lead in the 43rd minute when he converted a penalty.
Jonte Smith made it 3 – 0 with a free kick from 25 yards out in the 60th minute before Hall added his second of the game in the 62nd minute.
First Division
Southampton Rangers 0 Wolves 2
At the Southampton Oval, Wolves defeated the Southampton Rangers 2 – 0.
Wolves took the lead in the 30th minute when Kwan Smith scored, and Kyle Brangman doubled the lead in the 66th minute to earn the visitors the three points.
Young Men Social Club 1 St. David’s 2
St. David’s traveled to the Police Field and defeated the league leaders Young Men Social Club 2 – 1.
Aaron Paynter gave St. David’s the lead in the 12th minute, but Jomeko Mallory equalized for Young men Social Club in the 19th minute.
The winner came in the 71st minute as Iyuan Smith scored for St. David’s.
