Jediah Cumbermack has teamed up with American motorsports brand Bison Track as he prepares for the new motorcycling campaign.
The Bermudian, who will race in Bison apparel as a sponsored rider, plans to enter races in the North America Talent Cup [NATC] and the MotoAmerica STG Junior Cup next season.
Cumbermack told Bernews: “As a sponsored rider, I’ll have an opportunity to try unreleased, pre-production items and offer real-world feedback, as well as Bison support and exposure to boost my presence in the riding and racing community.
“Bison is a company born of one family’s passion for the racetrack — and the people who make the track a great place to be.
“I’m proud to join ‘The Herd’ and represent a company and brand so focused on connecting with their riders and building community around the sport we love.”
The 16-year-old competed in several NATC races last season against some of the most talented young riders from the United States, Canada and Mexico.
He was among 20 riders aged 13 to 16 from more than 2,000 applicants chosen to compete in the US-based series, a pathway to the MotoGP – the biggest championship in the sport.
Initially, he raced for 2B MotorSports; however, he parted ways with the local team because of contract issues and competed as an independent rider under the banner of JCYK Racing.
