Bermuda Cricket Team Defeat Cayman Islands

Bermuda started their ICC Americas Qualifiers in Argentina in a strong fashion as they defeated the Cayman Islands.

Bermuda won the toss and elected to bat. After 20 overs Bermuda scored 173/3, captain Delray Rawlins was the top scorer with 59 not out off 437 balls, he hit 43 fours and 3 sixes, while Kamau Leverock scored 48 off 30 balls hitting 3 fours and 3 sixes.

In reply the Cayman Islands could only manage 77/9 in their allotted 20 overs, Alistair Fitzwareen Ifill was the top scorer with 25, while Leverock was the pick of the Bermuda bowlers returning figures of 4-0-15-3.

    Well its a start I guess, but let’s not forget we have been relegated so many times, we are in the regional group, the level below division 5. A decade ago we were in division 2.

    Its about the administrators too. Our wikipedia page has players as of 2019. It’s lazy and speaks to the culture. It’s most other countries window into our national game, why wouldn’t someone at the BCB fix that? The BFA page is the same, and yes it is our responsibility.
