Special Olympics Polar Plunge Set For Feb 25
The Special Olympics Bermuda Polar Plunge will be held on Saturday, February 25 at Horseshoe Bay.
According to the event website, new events will be featured this year, such as energetic warm-ups with Fit n Fierce Athletics between plunges, beach volleyball, tug of war, and a sandcastle competition.
Registration costs $50 for adults and $25 for students 18 and under. There will be special pricing per person for teams of four as well: $40 for adults and $20 for students 18 and under.
The event website says, “Events like the Polar Plunge help support our Special Olympic athletes with their on-going training and funding for International Events like the upcoming 2023 Summer World Games in Berlin, Germany. We encourage you to reach out to your friends, families or co-workers and ask them to financially support your efforts and/or join you in the challenge of ‘Freezin for a Reason’ in support of Special Olympics.”
