Desmond Crockwell thanked everyone who supported the Gombey Celebration on Saturday [June 10], noting that they “saw community members from all walks of life come together to promote peace, love, unity and anti-violence.”
Desmond Crockwell said, “On behalf of YouthVision Promotions, I would like to thank everyone who came out to support our Gombey Celebration on Saturday, June 10.
“Walking from Woody’s to Somerset CC, we saw community members from all walks of life come together to promote peace, love, unity and anti-violence.
“At the end of the walk, community members held hands, bowed their heads and had a moment of silence for those who have been affected by violence in one way or another.
“As you may recall a man lost his life in the vicinity last year and to have the courage to come together and promote peace was a significant step in the right direction. We pray the community continues in the right direction.
“Thank you to the Gombey Evolution Family, Woody’s Family, Somerset CC Family, and most important the YouthVision Promotions Family. To those who couldn’t make it this time, we look forward to seeing you at the next one.”
