Bermuda midfielder Roger Lee has rejoined English non-league side Rugby Town.

“Happy to have signed for Rugby Town for the upcoming season,” Lee wrote on Instagram. “Let’s work.”

The 32-year-old, who joins the Warwickshire-based outfit from Southern League Premier Central team Barwel, previously played for Rugby Town in 2015.

Rugby Town gained promotion to the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands – the eighth tier of the English football pyramid, after finishing runners-up in the United Counties League Premier South last season.

Lee has played for a slew of non-league English teams such as Western super-Mare, Clevedon Town, Stamford, Basford United, Corby Town, Stafford Rangers, Loughborough Dynamo, and Mickleover.

The club said, “Midfielder Roger Lee has rejoined Rugby Town ahead of the new NPL Midland season.

“The Bermudian international has signed a one-year contract to keep him at Butlin Road until May 2024.

“The 32-year-old featured in the Southern League Premier Central with Barwell last season after spells with Mickleover and Loughborough Dynamo.

“Before that in 2018/19 Lee had a season playing in the Meistriliiga the top flight of Estonian football for JK Talinna Kalev. Roger is one of Bermudas most-capped internationals having made 34 appearances for his country after making his debut in 2008.

“Roger originally signed for Rugby for a brief spell in September 2015 but only made one start before spells with a plethora of teams including Stamford, Basford United, Corby Town and Stafford Rangers.

“Lee moved to the UK in 2014 and featured for Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon before his short first stint at Butlin Road.”
