Premier Thanks Govt Workers, Banks, Public
Premier and Finance Minister David Burt expressed his gratitude to “the dedicated Government Public Officers who have been tirelessly crafting solutions to address the challenges posed by our recent cyber-attack.”
Premier Burt said, “I also want to express my appreciation to the local banks for their unwavering commitment in collaborating with the Ministry of Finance to ensure timely payment for our public officers.”
A Government spokesperson said, “Arrangements have been made to ensure that our financial assistance clients and public officers who are paid monthly will be paid at the end of the month.
“The Government can also confirm the arrangements are being made to progress vendor payments, albeit there may be slight delays. Government fees and taxes can be paid online or at the cashiers by cash or cheques.”
Premier Burt continued, “We are facing certain challenges, but the government remains operational and actively working to enhance our service capabilities. I want to express my gratitude to all those who have dedicated countless hours to our critical operations and continue to do so. We are committed to swiftly restoring service delivery. Thanks also to the public for your patience and understanding.”

Cheap words. You shoulda been here, not on your jolly.
Burt’s non-handling of this has been incompetent.
Remember E-Wart still Premier. Blurt is his boy. Do as I say. That’s why Curtis Dickenson went. The country is in the deep mess. Oh anyone seen flip flop? More bus cancellations.
The guy who is responsible for Government IT systems says what? I do not see an apology for his years of inaction to protect the systems in the first place. Has anyone in Government apologized for their failure to protect the island from hackers? (working on my weekend standup comedy routine)
Am I the only person who sees irony in our Premier and Finance Minister expressing “my appreciation to the local banks”?
“We don’t care what you think.”
