2023 Parapan Games Get Underway In Chile
[Updated with photos] The 2023Â Parapan American Games Santiago Opening Ceremony took place at the National Stadium of Santiago, Chile.
Bermuda is being represented by boccia players Yushae DeSilva Andrade and Omar Hayward, and sprinter Jessica Lewis.
All delegations participated in the classic parade of nations, accompanied by musical performances led by Anita Tijoux and Movimiento Original, the interpreters of the official Games anthem. Local artists such as Flor de Rap, Beto Cuevas, Denise Rosenthal, Kya, and Pablo Chill-E also performed alongside them.
Good luck to these ParaAthletes who are representing Bermuda on the world stage. They will do so with pride for their country – and for their ‘abilities’.
