UN Elimination Of Violence Against Women
“In solidarity with the UN International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women, the Ministry of Youth, Social Development and Seniors is partnering with key agencies, including the Bermuda Police Service [BPS], Centre Against Abuse [CAA], and Women’s Resource Center [WRC], to host a community pop-up where Domestic Violence Help Cards and Safety Devices will be distributed.” said Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors Tinee Furbert.
“On Thursday, November 23rd, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the Lower Level of the Washington Mall, we encourage individuals impacted by violence and those who stand in solidarity to visit our community pop-up.”
Minister Furbert added, “The Government recognizes that collaboration with key agencies is crucial in addressing and preventing violence against women.
In support of our shared commitment to fostering a community where safety and support are accessible to all, we are providing Safety Devices to the BPS, CAA, and WRC to distribute directly to individuals in need.”
“Bermuda, each step towards change begins with a united community. Your presence and support at this event will amplify our collective message against ending violence against women.”
