Sanders And Lindsay Claim Half Marathon Titles
William Sanders and Gayle Lindsay claimed the male and female titles in the PwC Bermuda Half Marathon today [January 14].
Sanders, who came third in the Butterfield Mile men’s running club championship on Friday, powered to victory in 1:12:19, finishing ahead of Marcel Aubrey in 1:15:42.
Aubrey placed second in the men’s running club championships on Friday and third in the BF&M 10K Race yesterday.
Bermudian Kallan Richardson, 18, rounded out the podium in 1:16:51.
Meanwhile, Lindsay, who won the Bermuda Day Half Marathon women’s title last year, was the fastest female in 1:27:07.
Christine Dailey came second in 1:27:47, and Ashley Couper, a six-time May 24 winner, finished third in 1:32:03.
