Kaden Hopkins Finishes 18th In Season Opener

Kaden Hopkins started his cycling season as a team leader with Vendée U with an eighteenth-place finish out of 147 riders in the first stage of the Essor Basque yesterday [February 3] in France.

Hopkins finished the 117-kilometre race between the Pyrenean village Boucau to Tarnos in southwest France in 2hr 44min 38sec – 1:38 behind Ilan Larmet of the Dinan Sport team [2:43:07].

The weeklong Essor Basque consists of five stages, with stage two taking place over 120km between Souraide and Combo today.
