National Football Team Set For FIFA Series
The Bermuda men’s senior national football squad are set to play two friendly matches in the FIFA Series in Saudi Arabia.
Head coach Michael Findlay is leading the team, which will first face Brunei Darussalam on March 22nd and Guinea on March 26. Both matches will be played at Stadium King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
According to FIFA rankings, Guinea is ranked 76th, Vanuatu sits in the 170th position, Bermuda is 171st, and Brunei is 194th.
The FIFA Series are friendly matches contested by national teams from different confederations, who do not normally have the opportunity to play each other.
The FIFA Series aims to allow more international football interaction, making a concrete contribution to global football development. The pilot edition features 24 member associations playing in five locations across three continents.
Great…more money wasted…. sending some ungrateful ppl there for a free trip. Was at the barbershop and a certain person on national team cricket played just complained and complained about the types of hotels and buses and food…. lack of AC. Unless yall are winning games.. u dnt deserve much.. same goes with football
Good for our “national” squad. They will get exposure they do not usually get. I, for one, am glad they are getting that exposure.
