Outstanding Teen Awards Set For May 26
Teen Services will host the Bermuda Outstanding Teen Awards [OTA] at the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium in Devonshire on May 26. Celebrating its 38th year, the OTA is dedicated to honouring the achievements of high school seniors from public and private schools across the island. The winners from 2022 will also be recognised at the ceremony.
With a commitment to excellence and community, the OTA recognises teens who excel in various categories, including academics, community service, leadership, sports, and the arts. Nominations are open to senior students aged 17 to 19 who have demonstrated remarkable abilities and characteristics pertinent to the award categories. The nomination process has specific criteria set for each category to ensure fairness in the selection process. Notably, nominees are eligible for more than one category but are limited to three, with a separate nomination form required for each. Category winners will receive scholarship awards, with the overall outstanding winner being named Bermuda’s Outstanding Teen of 2024.
Schools and organisations are encouraged to submit nominations before Thursday [March 28]. The nomination form, along with a detailed biography and headshot of the nominee, must be submitted through the online link
