Two Men Injured, Police Appeal For Information

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing to witnesses who may have information about a disturbance that took place at Ocean View Golf Course on March 10.

A police spokesperson said, “Shortly before 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024, police officers were dispatched to a disturbance involving several individuals, two of whom were allegedly armed with knives, at the Ocean View Golf Course, Devonshire.

“Upon police arrival most of the people had left the scene. However, forensic evidence was found to confirm an incident had occurred. Shortly after, a 39-year-old male with a head injury was seen on North Shore Road near Loyal Hill, Devonshire. He was subsequently transported by private car to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where he was attended to for his injury, which was not considered life threatening.

“Around 3:35 p.m. on the same day, Emergency Dispatch received a call for assistance for a 42-year-old male with an apparent stabbing injury, at a Cedar Park Road, Devonshire residence. Officers attended the scene and located the injured male who was also taken to hospital by private vehicle.

“His injuries which included cuts to his shoulder and head, were not considered life threatening.

“An investigation into these matters, which are all believed to be linked, has begun and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Patrick Jones on 717-2170 or via email at pjones@bps.bm.

“You may otherwise share the information with an officer you know or by using the BPS Community Reporting Portal.

“Another option would be to visit the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers website and complete the anonymous online reporting form.”
