City Offers Free City Art Tours For World Art Day
The City of Hamilton announced free City Art Tours led by Town Crier Ed Christopher, offering an immersive exploration of the city’s art installations and murals.
A spokesperson said, “As the world celebrates creativity and expression on World Art Day, the City of Hamilton is proud to announce a special offering: free City Art Tours throughout the week, starting from Monday, April 15th. Led by the charismatic Town Crier, Ed Christopher, these tours promise an immersive journey through the heart of our city, showcasing its rich offerings of art installations and captivating murals.
“While the City Art Tour has been available for self-guided exploration since 2022, this marks the first time the tour has enjoyed a dedicated week of focus as a limited-time tour, connecting both World Art Day and VIVID, the City of Hamilton’s Public Art Initiative.
“In the spirit of artistic celebration and recognition of the expanding cultural landscape with VIVID, we wanted to curate a special experience for both residents and tourists. We invite everyone to join us and discover the colorful art pieces that adorn our city streets.
“Departing promptly at 10:30 AM from City Hall, this guided tour offers an exclusive glimpse into Bermuda’s thriving arts and culture, substituting Ed’s regular tours for the entire celebratory week.
“While there are 22 VIVID art installations throughout the city, this curated tour focuses on the more central pieces, ensuring an enriching experience within a convenient timeframe of approximately an hour.
“Attendees will not only be equipped with a map for future explorations but also treated to a special surprise, embracing World Art Day and the creativity it seeks to inspire.
