Letters of objection must state the name and address of the objector; the grounds of the objection; whether the objector has an interest in land near to that which the application relates; and be signed by the objector.

Notice Of Advanced Poll For Absent Voters

An Advanced Poll will be held at Christ Anglican Church Hall, Devonshire on 15 May 2024 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. for electors eligible to vote in the bye-election for Constituency 10 Smith’s North and intending to be absent from Bermuda, or to travel to or from Bermuda, on Polling Day.

Voters will be required to go directly to the polling station to receive an advanced poll certificate. Those traveling must come with a hard copy of their confirmed travel documents, along with photo identification. Digital copies will not be accepted. Further information on requirements for travellers can be found on Parliamentary Registry’s website, at www.elections.gov.bm .

Notice Of Advanced Poll For Incapacitated Voters

An Advanced Poll will be held at the Christ Anglican Church Hall, Devonshire on 15 May 2024 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. for electors eligible to vote in the Constituency 10 Smith’s North bye-election but who are unable or likely to be unable, by reason either of illness, infirmity, or disability, to travel to the election room on Polling Day.

In order to vote at this advanced poll, incapacitated electors are required to request a certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner certifying their incapacity. Application for these certificates should be made at the office of the registered medical practitioner of choice. The registered medical practitioner is required to forward the certificate to the Parliamentary Registrar no later than 8:00pm on 15 May 2024 in order to allow for the incapacitated elector to place their vote before this advanced poll closes.

Advanced Polls Sick And Infirm Voters

Where any parliamentary elector, other than an inmate of an institution, who is duly registered in the parliamentary register for a constituency in which a parliamentary election is pending is certified by a medical practitioner to be prevented by illness, infirmity, or disability to be unable, even with mechanical or other assistance to leave his place of residence to attend an advanced poll for incapacitated voters, it shall be lawful for such parliamentary elector to record his vote at his place of residence on such date prior to the polling day as shall be appointed by the Registrar.

This advanced poll is scheduled for the 16 May 2024. Any elector referred to in the above who wishes to have his vote recorded at his place of residence shall apply to the Registrar to be visited at his residence by contacting the Parliamentary Registrar’s Office no later than 10 May 2024. The number to call is 293- VOTE [8683].
