Omar Hayward Back In Action Today
Omar Hayward lost his opening match at the World Boccia Cup in Montreal to John Loung, of Hong Kong, yesterday [April 30].
The Bermudian, who was beaten by the world No 6 15-2, faces Eduardo Sanchez, of Mexico, today.
Troy Farnsworth, the Bermuda boccia coach, said: “Omar made a few uncharacteristic errors, which you can’t afford to make against a quality opponent like Loung.”
Meanwhile, Bermudian Yushae DeSilva-Andrade, who defeated world No 15 Aurelie Aubert, of France, 5-2 in her opening game yesterday, faces Japan’s Yuriko Fujii today.
