Car Crashes & Catches On Fire On Middle Road
“A motorcar traveling east collided with a wall, overturned and landed on its side, before it caught on fire” this evening [June 9] on Middle Road, the police have confirmed
A police spokesperson said, “There has been a serious road traffic collision involving an overturned motorcar on Middle Road near the junction with Store Hill, Smiths. As a result, that section of roadway is now closed to vehicular traffic.
“Details are limited at this time. However, it is understood a motorcar traveling east collided with a wall, overturned and landed on its side, before it caught on fire.
“Traffic traveling east on Middle Road is being diverted onto Hermitage Road, Devonshire. Traffic heading west on Middle Road is being diverted onto Collector’s Hill at the junction with Hermitage Road, Smith’s.”
