Simmons won the 127-pound C Class Novice Full Rules Division, winning all four of his contests, two by stoppage and the others on points; meanwhile, Beach claimed top honours in the 172-pound Senior Novice Full Rules Division, winning both of his bouts.
Also winning medals for Fight City Muay Thai and Fitness were Tyler Kerr, silver in the 127-pound A Class Elite Pro Rules Division; Keron Lee, silver in the 137-pound Senior B Full Rules Division; Jay Astwood, bronze in the 153-pound B Class Full Rules Division; and Emily Beach, bronze in the 107-pound Junior Novice Full Rules Division.
Chuck Morgan, the Fight City head coach, told Bernews: “It was great to see Jarryd come out on top in his first tournament.
“Phill had two really good fights to win the title in his division, too.”
Morgan added: “This was our eighth time competing at these championships, and the level has increased tremendously.
“There were more than 1,200 fighters from every state in the United States, plus teams from Canada, Puerto Rico, and Germany.”
