Photos: Triathletes Get Familiar With Course
Bermuda’s Olympic triathletes recently undertook familiarization rides in Paris as they prepare for their respective upcoming competitions. The athletes have not actually been able to do the swimming training, which was canceled on two consecutive days due to the low water quality, and the men’s triathlon — which was supposed to take place this morning [July 30] — has also been postponed due to the poor water quality
The new plan is that they will hold the men’s triathlon after the women’s triathlon on Wednesday July 31, however this will still be contingent upon the water quality, so we will continue follow along for the latest developments. If all goes to plan, Bermuda will have three triathletes in action on Wednesday [July 31], with Dame Flora Duffy and Erica Hawley scheduled to compete first at 3am Bermuda time, and then followed by Tyler Smith in the men’s triathlon.
