Robin Horsfield Wins Ontario Bike Championship
Robin Horsfield clinched the Ontario Provincial Mountain Bike Championship with a sprint victory, adding to his silver medal from the Caribbean Championship.
A spokesperson said, “Robin Horsfield had a successful weekend competing back in Ontario following his appearance and silver medal at the Caribbean Mountain Bike Championship.
“Horsfield dropped Dylan Kerr in a long sprint to the line to win the Ontario Provincial Mountain Bike Championship on Sunday. Kerr and Horsfield slowly whittled away the field over the 90 minute race, never losing sight of one another. They were the heavily favoured riders as on Friday night Kerr and Horsfield rode away from the rest of the field in the Provincial Short Track Championship, with Kerr ultimately winning in short track.
“Horsfield currently sits fifth in the Canada Cup rankings with one race left in the series. This is Horsfield’s first provincial championship, though he did finish 2023 as the top ranked rider in the provincial series.”
