Kimoy Cruickshank On Jamaica’s Morning Show
Bermudian equestrian Kimoy Cruickshank has appeared on Jamaica’s popular morning show, CVM Sunrise.
The young athlete, who represented Bermuda at the Grand Caraibes Jumping Championship in Guadeloupe in June, appeared in full equestrian attire, sharing the stage with his trainer Julian Hyde and hosts Yendi Phillips and Ity Ellis.
Dressed smartly in his blue Bermuda team blazer, Cruickshank spoke about his journey and passion for equestrian sports, a pursuit he has dedicated himself to for more than a decade.
“I’ve been riding for about 12 years,” Cruickshank said. “The reason why I love riding is that my mum introduced me to it, and ever since then I’ve just been intertwined. I can’t escape.
“I compete in eventing, which involves dressage, show jumping and cross-country.”
The conversation took a light-hearted turn when host Phillips noticed the Bermuda flag stitched onto Cruickshank’s blazer.
“Kimoy is now an honorary Jamaican,” Hyde said. “This is his second trip here and he’s catching on to all the lingo.
“You should hear him with the grooms and kids at the stables. We’ve welcomed him here and he’s part of the family.”
