Tyler James Earns Wins At Aiken Summerfest
Bermudian equestrian Tyler James recorded multiple top-three finishes, including four wins, at the Aiken Summerfest I & II Horse Show in South Carolina.
A spokesperson said, “Equestrian Tyler James, under the guidance of coach, Wendy Arndt, and Team I.E.C. had a strong showing at the Aiken Summerfest I & II Horse Show, August 13 – 23rd, at Bruce’s Field, Aiken, South Carolina.
“Tyler and new mount, Case Closed 441, delivered consistency and strong results across the two weeks. Together the pair had a string of top place finishes beginning with a 1st place and division champion in the 1.20m Junior/Amateur Jumper Division and 8th and 9th place finishes in the highly competitive 1.25m Open Jumper Welcome Stake classes.
“The two weeks culminated with a 1st place finish in the 1.30m Junior/Amateur Jumper class, a 2nd place finish in the 1.30m Junior/Amateur Classic and a 3rd place finish in the 1.30m National Junior/Amateur Classic. Moving up to the bigger and highly technical and competitive 1.30m Classic classes marks a milestone for Tyler and Case Closed 441 in the development of their partnership and their success at this height sets them up well for the rest of the 2026 season.
“Competing with his long-term partner Vino Blanco 441, Tyler continued to deliver consistently strong results, with a 1st place in the Open Hunter class and two 9th place finishes in the competitive USHJA National Hunter Derby classes.
“On his young horse, Zero to Sixty, Tyler also showed his consistency, with 1st place finishes in both the 0.90m Open Jumper class and the 1.0m Jumper class.”
