Bermudian cyclist Kaden Hopkins has ended his two-season tenure with French development team Vendée U.

Vendée U, a renowned feeder team for Team TotalEnergies, retained eight riders for the upcoming season while six, including Hopkins, are set to embark on new challenges.

Hopkins, who served as a team leader during his final season with the squad, received a heartfelt farewell from Vendée U. “Good luck to you for the rest of your career,” the team wrote on social media.

The 24-year-old made headlines this year with the most significant performance of his career, capturing the green jersey at the prestigious Tour of Guadeloupe in September.

His impressive victory included triumphs in the third and final stages, propelling him to the top of the standings in a major tour for the first time.

Hopkins represented Bermuda at the recent Caribbean Cycling Championships in Guyana, winning the silver medal in the elite men’s time-trial.
