Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Programme
The Department of Workforce Development invites Bermuda’s construction and contracting professionals to join the Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Programme and “play a pivotal role in preparing the next generation of skilled Bermudian tradespeople.”
A Government spokesperson said, “This initiative focuses on high-demand trades, including:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Masonry
“By partnering with the programme, not only will you help equip Bermudians with the practical skills and hands-on experience needed to excel in these essential industries, but also help the industry and your business by:
- Shaping the Future Workforce – Train the professionals Bermuda needs to meet its growing construction demands.
- Obtain Access to Incentives – Government-supported benefits make apprenticeship training rewarding for your business.

Should have been implemented in 1998 when the PLP won but they did so very very little and now, at this late stage, are doing this. They had been warned.
